It is a really great idea to create a daily success plan. How does a person achieve success in their calling?
Every evening, I know what I need to do for the next day. And I have two hours free in the morning to get it done.
So I get out of bed, and after breakfast I head with coffee and laptop in hand, out to my little office space. I get some music going, and I work on whatever I have set myself for the day.
This time is available because my husband is doing the first session of schoolwork with the kids. He’s great. He does this every morning and it’s a life saver.
I decide what to do first. This morning, the first thing I am doing is working on this blog post. Once this is done I will move on to writing the back story for the food company we are setting up. I do have another task today, and that is to tweak a couple of recipes I am currently working on.
I also have to pack for our journey back to New Zealand, and that involves packing for me and five kids. It will take some time. Fortunately the kids’ grandparents are here and will be playing with them today. I won’t need to cook either, which always helps, so though I have a busy day today, everything will get done.
So basically, I prioritise, and am very clear about what I need to get done each day. It’s amazing what you can do in a couple of hours, when you know it’s all you’ve got. Success comes easier when there is a plan to achieve it.
