Today’s challenge is to take one imperfect action that will, if carried out every day, help lead to the life I’ve always envisioned.
My action is pretty perfect actually – I certainly wouldn’t call it imperfect. But, done every day, it will definitely get me more in the right mindset for the lifestyle I am working toward.
It is something I do a lot anyway, but if I do it as an intentional thing, it will help to slow me down and remind me to live in the moment, and stop rushing around like crazy all the time.
Simply put, it is this. Take a definite moment each day to give my kids the biggest hug. That is it. To sit down with me and them in a big cosy heap, and for all of us to chat and connect. And to take time out from the rush of normal life, to just enjoy their company without having to get anything done for those few minutes of each day.
That in itself will remind me not to take things too seriously, and not to see life as a series of tasks. Instead, life is a series of moments, and I want to make the most of each of those moments.
